So for his newest book, Stephen King rips off… The Simpsons Movie?
Dude, he started writing the book in the 70s and shelved it because he wasn’t sure where to go with it. He’s referenced it kind of obliquely in various interviews, etc. for years.
That said, what do you wanna bet he saw that Simpsons and had one of the bigger facepalms of his life. The comparison is even more accurate - based on descriptions of the book’s basic plot - than he probably likes.
